This silane is easily incorporated into acrylic latex backbones. It may be especially useful in coatings applications where increased durability, adhesion and performance are valued by the end user.

An improved combination of performance, appearance and handling characteristics may be possible in waterborne coatings formulated with CoatOSil 1770 silane. When properly formulated, crosslinking can occur under both room temperature and elevated temperature conditions.

  Momentive Performance Materials - Silquest* A-137 silane is a monomeric alkylalkoxysilane that, when exposed to moisture, is reactive with minerals contained in concrete, masonry and other substrates. The monomer can penetrate deeply into a substrate, and then react to form an extremely durable protective surface surrounding each microscopic particle.
