Clariant - Coatings & Construction Chemicals - Clear, colourless, aprotic solvent. This glycol diether features low freezing point, high boiling point, low viscosity and active solvency. It is miscible in any ratio with most organic solvents. Not miscible with water. Used in acrylate resins, and inks.
Clariant - Coatings & Construction Chemicals - Colourless liquid with mild pleasant odor. Replacement for NMP. Excellent coalescent and coupling agent with high solvency. Limited solubility in water. Used in water based PU dispersions, two pack PU coating, paint strippers, and anti graffiti coatings.
Air Products - Additives - Low foam super-wetting and coalescing surfactant. It is a 100% active, solvent-free liquid used in a wide variety of waterborne applications, including wood, metal and plastic coatings, and fountain solutions.
Lubrizol Advanced Materials - A minimal VOC humectant/coalescent which improves the re-dispersibility of pigment pastes in polar liquid media. For use in water-based paints, pigment pastes, and inks.
Cognis GmbH - Functional Products - Developed for coatings formulations with less than 50 g/l VOC. Produced from renewable raw materials and can replace traditional VOC contributing coalescents.
Perstorp - This is used as a coalescing aid in Latex paint formulations. It lowers the minimum film formation temperature and softens the emulsion polymer particles, allowing them to fuse together to a proper film at lower temperatures than is otherwise possible.
Perstorp - A low odor coalescing agent in latex paints formulations that greatly improves film formation, requiring small addition levels, and contributes to better preservation of the paint. It gives greater gloss and flexibility while increasing barrier properties and film integrity.
